seriously, i've been loving florence+the machines since I found out about them in...June-ish.
and it's ironic because this is the song i've been listening to from them a lot lately.

this was absolutely amazing and gorgeous and perfect and i'm SO download this.

Thank you :) I think I only found Florence + the Machine about a month or so ago myself but I've been listening to her non-stop since.

This is really powerful, especially the fade to angel white at the end. It's hard for me to watch it without thinking of Sam telling Mary, "Your children will be cursed." The choices for lyrics matches are all so good!

Some favorite bits:

- The intercutting of Dean's resurrection with his rescue of baby Sam from the burning house and the rescue of baby Sam with the daily work of hunting
- The flip of the guns on "sails"
- "He doesn't make chairs" on a rescue instead of a death
- All the choices for beggars and liars, gypsies and thieves
- The first appearance of the Crossroads Demon on "so eager to please"
- The use of Leila is really affecting
- The use of the musical change and additional echoes at 1:18 for the movement into the future of "The End" and all the terrible alternate possibilities of Dean--Dean in 2014 who kills what might once have passed for friends, Dean torturing Alastair, Dean putting a gun to his own head, demon-eyed Dean
- The loss of potential future families with Ben and Cassie and the photograph of the Harvelles, and then the family he has, Sam and John and Adam and Mary and Sam again and always
-And coming back around to the coffin Dean builds for himself, which is the coffin he builds for the world; I really love how death becomes a terrible equals sign here, the death of hopes is the death of self is the death of family is apocalypse.

I liked the song and the clips were pretty good. I would have liked a little less of a jumble of random clips in some points but I know you had to work with some strange lyrics so well done you! Good Job! Keep vidding!

If you don't mind, could elaborate on which clips you found random? Because all clip choices on my end were deliberate so I'm curious to find out what didn't work for you.

I first have to say that the song selection is brilliant, and made more so by the accompanying clip selection. It's all very clever and thoughtful.

Right at the start, I like the juxtaposition of Dean digging graves with Dean saving Sam's life. I particularly like the movement on the line "kings and queens"...the way he turns his head away with the growing momentum of the song is extremely powerful. As are the "Faith" and Layla clips. Just heartbreaking.

I love the pace and palette change during the "for you, for you, for you" part. The sweeping movement, lightness, and Lucifer in his true vessel...it's all very stunning. Then we're hit with the little boy coming towards Dean and Cassie moving away on the "some say it's a blessing, some say it's a curse."

I also adore 2:10-2:22.

Just wanted to add that I've been back to watch it several times now, I liked it so much. I'd say the strongest parts in the vid are the ones that cover what he's becoming/where it'll all end up, and the whole family part(hospital, brother, etc, though I guess with Dean it's always about family). It all just ties together beautifully. Bravo!
