Notes:

The thing I really like about [livejournal.com profile] festivids is that it gets me to actually make all these vid prompts that I have thought of but never got around to doing. As soon as I finished watching Daybreakers months and months ago, I wanted to vid it because it was damn pretty. I had the song picked out, even started putting a couple of clips down on the timeline but then I got stuck and never went back to it. But then [livejournal.com profile] festivids comes around and people prompt all these wonderful things and I get inspired again and actually do things.

So in part this vid is also a thank you to [livejournal.com profile] giandujakiss for running the challenge because it is such a fabulous challenge and you deserve thanks!

(It also makes me sad that I could not include more of Jay Laga'aia since he will forever be the presenter from Playschool that I watched during my childhood.)

Also, to pimp myself, tell me about a vid I haven't made and I will make a tiny vidlet from it and keep calm and vid on, a vidding tshirt venture where all profits go to charity!

Hee - I'm so amused that you were thinking of vidding Daybreakers already! Although not really surprised, because as soon as I saw the movie, I too was thinking it would make an amazing vid - although I didn't have any ideas for it myself. I'm so happy you did, though - it's gorgeous work, thank you so much!

Thank you! I am so glad you liked it. But yeah, that's exactly what happened to me, I watched the movie, thought it was okay but immediately thought this is very pretty and needs to be vidded.

I am kinda annoyed with the credits in the beginning though. I wanted to use those scenes because they looked gorgeous but I couldn't figure a way to edit the text out :(

Really enjoyed this reminder of the movie. As you say in the notes, so pretty! I thought you did a great job of conveying the overall story and its feel and style - the contrast between the colouring of the two worlds came through even more here - and the vibe of the song was perfect.
