I would do the vid meme but I don't think I have quite enough vids to answer it. I am actually quite proud of all the vids I made this year (apart from Hey Jude because that was rushed) as they all turned out to resemble that magical vid concept that initially appeared in my head when I first got the idea for them.

Vid plans for 2012

At last count, I have 48 ideas for vids that I want to do. I sincerely doubt that I will complete them all next year as that means I will have to make a vid approximately every week.

However, fandoms I plan (or really, really want to) vid or plan to continue to vid in next year are Supernatural, Merlin, The Hunger Games, Lost Girl, Daria, Misfits, Suckerpunch & Leverage. I also have ideas for a couple of epic (or at least in my mind they are epic) multi fandom vids but the thought of planning them makes my cry sometimes.

I also totally plan to do a sequel to my Lady Gaga vid when all the music videos to her latest album come out. And I don't even like her that much.

And course, there are my standard plans that get repeated every year of make more vids, branch out in to After Effects, etc.

I also plan to start creating a lot more traditional and digital art but that is more for non-fandom purposes. However, I totally plan to use pictures of all the pretty men and women in the TV shows and movies I watch as inspiration, so a lot of things will probably turn out as fan art.

Which TV shows did you let go of in 2011?

I did stop watching Doctor Who for some reason. I don't know why because I still like it and all the mentions I have seen of the show have been awesome but for some reason I never bothered to keep downloading it.

I did start to watch the first episode of Grimm but stop watching half way through because it was so boring!

All other shows I watch are either ongoing or I picked well when choosing which new shows to watch.

Which TV shows did you mean to get into but didn't in 2011? Why?

Define 'get into'... I don't plan to 'get into' any show because I don't have time to get in to anymore. Obsessions just happen! However, if we are talking about what shows I planned to watch but didn't then see below because they are still on the list.

Parks and Recreation, Avatar, Being Human (BBC version), My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Which TV show impressed you least in 2011?

Grimm. I though yay fairytales but yeah, as I said above I stopped watching halfway through. Did it get better?

Which TV show do you think you might let go of in 2012 unless things significantly improve?

None! Once I get in to a show enough to want to download it and watch it (because I'm in Australia so we always get shows late and I don't have the patience to wait until it airs on TV), I tend to stick with it until the end, however bad it may get. For example, I doubt I will ever let go of Supernatural despite the fact that I think the quality had decreased over the years but SAM&DEAN!!!!! And I don't even mean that in a slash way.

Which TV show impressed you the most in 2011? Why?

Merlin. Considering the 4th season actually made me start reading fic and having ideas for vids. I had only watched it casually before and always liked it but for some reason the 4th season has really dragged me in.

Which TV shows do you think you'll never let go of no matter how crappy they get? Why?

Supernatural because I will love Sam and Dean forever no matter how crappy the show gets. Besides there are always vids and fanfic.

I didn't watch that many films this year, nor can I remember which one would be my favourite...

Your favorite book read this year?

I finished off the Inheritance Trilogy by N. K. Jemison. I highly recommend it.

Your favorite tv show of the year?

Supernatural! But I was also partial to 2 Broke Girls, Community, Game of Thrones, Leverage, Lost Girl, Merlin, Misfits, Once Upon a Time, QI and The Big Bang Theory.

Your best new fandom discovery of the year?

Fandom discovery? Every time I read a new piece of fic or watch a vid I love counts as a fandom discovery to me.

Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?

I don't really expect a lot out of fandom, not in the sense that it doesn't do anything because it creates and does some fantastic things but more in the sense that I don't expect it to cater specifically to me hence I don't get disappointed.

Your biggest squee moment of the year?

Hmm, every time a show I loved came back, every time a vidder that I love released a vid, every time a writer I love wrote a fic! I don't know, I never seem to have any big squee moments. Although I did get rather squeeful about Festivids at the beginning of the year and now it's happening again!

Your biggest fan anticipations for the coming year?

Festivids! And making more vids!
