You know, it's weird to see reports of bombing and such when it's not your country because it doesn't seem real. Doesn't seem like it's happening. It was the same for 9/11, the Bali bombing and the Tsunami disaster. The footage is just that, footage and until it happens to you I don't think anyone can quite realise the intensity and emotions that an event like that can inspire.

Of course, when you get quotes like this and like this, things seem to get a bit brighter (and a helluva lot more funnier).

But to anyone you was hurt or knew someone who was hurt or god forbid, died, in London, then my heart (for what it's worth) is with you. And we can only hope that situations change in the future so that the motives for attacks like these are dealt with.

I also thought that it really shows how caring (and damn fast) LJ can be when I had a quick scroll through flists last night and everyone's just contained posts with well wishes towards Londoners.

And now they are saying that Australia could be next as a target. Although I'm not that worried about being directly hit because I live in the forgotten state on the other side of the country. Bless.

I know, those quotes are brilliant.

I remember when 9/11 happened and I watched a lot on tv.. it was there but it didnt seem real!

I remember seeing the image of the plane flying into the tower over and over again that it just lost it's impact and despite the fact that so many people died, the whole thing just became so monotonous because of how the media just kept talking and talking about the same old stuff even weeks later that everything lost it's impact.

Here is just a bit of what I posted about:

"I'm in the US (Alabama) and being only 24 years old and before 9/11 I had not experienced any attacks on America like that of 9/11.......It caused me to ask myself...when I hurt someone or when I don't act out in love how much better am I than that man? That breathing living human who flew the plane into people in my country to hurt them and to prove a point. How much better am I? There is enough hate and hurt in this world than for me to add to it over something like a cashier who decided she didn't want to do her job. Is she wrong, yes, but maybe I should look at how to help rather than express my anger or frustration just so I can get a temporary moment of satisfaction for having to wait or for having bad customer service."
