It was my best friends sorta birthday party last night and I slept over her house because we were playing D&D and then we watched Return of the Jedi and various music channels until five in the morning.
I also ate too much so now my tummy is making weird noises and it kinda hurts which is bad because I have work to do and I don't feel like doing it and it's taking away my ability to construct proper sentences.
I have a bunch of comments to reply to, I want to convert my graphics journal into a community today which means fooling around with the layout, I have to update the latest stuff in
arbitraryempire which all you lot should join and I also have homework which I really should frelling do otherwise I will be screwed.
Ow.
Oh, and I saw the GOF trailer like everyone else probably has by now.
Is it wrong that I still get excited over it even though there are all these little things that got mucked up? Last night, we were talking about Harry Potter and my friend said she just didn't care anymore and wasn't excited about the book or movie at all because of the way things were changed and how the plot has gone. It's weird because I still really, really like the books and am absolutely dying to read the next one and really, whatever way JKR takes it is fine by me (unless of course, everyone turns massively out of character and there are no commas at all). It's her story that she's telling, and if I were her I would continue to tell that story regardless of what other people thought.
Maybe it's just because I'm an art student and like things visual but I don't mind the movies. Even though they changed the plot and characters a bit, I still really like the movies. I mean, I will still gripe and nit pick things but I am still going to go see the movies and I will still buy the DVDs. And while if the movies stayed truer to the books I would like them more, I still kinda like the flashy changes that they made.
So in conclusion, I am really obsessed with Harry Potter and it looks like things are going to stay that way.
