The Pacifier and a Rant - mmm, Rant...
So I went and saw The Pacifier tonight which was pretty good. Better than the normal hollywood-action-guy-does-a-disney-movie fare and oh, Vin Diesel takes his shirt off. That's always good :)

But because it's school holidays here (shudder) that means that the movies are swarming with obnoxious barely there teenagers. Example: I go into the bathroom before the movie and I kid you not, the entire row of mirrors was taken up by 13 or 14 year old girls putting on makeup. There must have been fifteen or so of them, all lined up, giggling and wearing bad clothes and 'fixing' up there faces. Is it just me or does anyone else think that is slightly too young to be acting like that?

Their fashion sense is also atrocious. And please, I'll admit freely that I haven't always had the best fashion sense. In fact I don't follow the latest fashions at all because I wear what I like not what someone else likes and since my personality is weird at the best of times it is likely that my clothes reflect that. Anyway, what I can't stand is when one new style comes out and EVERYONE is suddenly wearing it. And in my opinion the fashion styles don't even look good but everyone wears it because it is supposedly 'cool'. Example: I see this girl, young and she is wearing calf length ugg boots, loose ones, baggy denim crop pants, white singlet and a green crocheted tunic thing that reached halfway down her thighs. It was not a good look but since crochet and ugg boots are in this season I'll bet everyone else thought she looked pretty damn good. Idiots. I mean, no offense to the girl but just because it's the latest fashion trend doesn't mean it looks good. Show some individuality, be different, sure you might shunned by half your school but at least you're not a brain dead fashion tramp.

Unlike the two girls I saw in the city on Monday (which is also swarming with school holiday school children). I kid you not, this is what they were wearing. Knee length ugg boots (again), pale pink with fluffy stuff around the rim, bright pink frilly skirts (and I mean bright, BRIGHT pink, like nauseating, eye burning pink, I was nearly blinded), silver sequined belts, black singlets with some tryhard rock saying on them and I can't remember if they wear wearing caps or not but if they were they were pale pink. And I swear to you these girls were dressed EXACTLY the same, they must have bought the clothes together because they were identical.

Luckily, one of the guys I was with just cracked up laughing as soon as we saw them so I am glad at least one person thinks the same as I do.

I am obsessed with couture (lets just say... not GAP fashion) like WOHA but I would never encourage people to look like everyone else. The idea of fashion, I believe, is to have a selection of extremely fine clothing to chose from and to pick from what's there what looks stunning on YOU. I only ever buy pieces that I adore and that also look perfect on me - I once bought a $300 skirt that I LOVED OMG but it looked horrible on me.

Never made that mistake again.
Lol.
This is excellent. I would have cracked up too.
