HP&HBP covers revealed *coud be spoilery*  
So sweet!

The Leaky Cauldron just got hold of the covers of HP&HBP... possible spoilers...


So... whoa...

Adult version. Potion book (which looks cool). Someone is making a potion?

My first thought was of how Voldemort became nearly invincible and was able to survive an Avada Kedavra rebounding and maybe he did that by brewing a potion and maybe he kept a journal or something... Surprisingly enough that was part of an idea for a fic I had.

But then the cover of the potion book says Advanced Potion Making so maybe that thought is out but the Scholastic cover looks like Dumbledore and Harry brewing a potion together. Of course, Dumbledore looks really creepy but that's not the point. So maybe Harry is making a potion to help him in the fight against Voldemort. Because Harry is supposedly be able to at least theoretically have a 50% chance of killing Voldemort otherwise the Prophecy is void but we haven't seen any evidence of any power strong enough to kill him. Harry protection from his mother disappeared when Voldemort used his blood to ressurect himself unless the fact that Voldemort used Harry's blood proves to be his downfall because remember that gleam in Dumbledore's eyes in GOF when he found out Harry's blood was used.

And oh god my brain is going to explode if I think too much.

But dude, check out the cover on the British kids version which is probably the one I'll get because it comes out first he in Australia. There is fire and wands and that should mean there will be a huge battle of some kind which is always fun except last time there was a big battle Sirius died so :(

Like I said, I will stop now before brain fizzles out.

Well, he *is* the all-knowing character in the book, that's exactly why I think he'll die.

While Dumbledore's around, no matter what happens we all know he'll solve things in one way or another. Maybe that's why JKR always finds a way to keep him away when Harry has to deal with some trouble.

While Dumbledore's around there's no possibility of Harry dying, so no one would fear that he might not make it in the end.

Well, book covers aren't exactly spoilers, at least not how I see it. They're covers! Anyone who buys the books will see them before reading them. But yeah, they make you think a lot.lol:)

I think the main spoiler was in the adult cover with the potions book but yeah I don't see covers as spoilers either. They are meant to be seen. Like film trailers. Although I have a friend who avoids film trailers like the plague because he's afraid of getting a spoiler which is stupid because trailers are what the producers or whatever want you to see and they wouldn't give away a major plot point.

But we know Harry is going to make it to the end of the seventh book whether Dumbledore is around or not, whether Harry survives or not is what we don't know. So I think either Dumbledore dies in book six and Harry in the seventh or Harry survives the whole thing and Dumbledore dies in the end.

Damn, I just reasoned out that Dumbledore dies either way. Oh...

RIP Dumbledore

That's exactly my point! Why would they publish covers they wouldn't want to be seen?? Makes no sense whatsoever.

See? Dumbledore dies.

That's going to be one tough thing for Harry to handle, if it actually happens. He's already lost so many people and then Dumbledore? *hugs Harry* Poor kid.

They are fun!:D

I have one question, though, about the OOTP films (I know, off-topic, but I'm just too curious about it): If Daniel Radcliffe returns for OOTP, will he play Marauder-James???

I just had this weird image of a fan trying to buy a HP book while shieldng their eyes and screaming because they don't want to see the cover.

I know! Harry is going to turn out to be one frelled up kid by the end of this.

If you have a question about Harry Potter then it is NEVER off topic :D Dan as James... y'know I can't think of a reason not because j.k always says Harry looks just like his father so it would make an awful lot of sense. I say yes!

Although they might cut that scene out which would be bad because it would be so cool to see all the young Marauders :D

I also really hope all the actors continue for all the movies just because I've fallen in love with them and it just wouldn't feel the same with different people.

Oh my Twilight Zone moment: this fan enters a book store and all the books around them are the new HP ones with the new covers.

He is! Which gets to the really depressive thinking: if he dies, he'll be reunited with everyone he loves and won't feel alone anymore.:\

They wouldn't cut that scene! I mean, it's Snape's worst memory, it's the scene that explains why Snape decides not to teach him Occlumency... They CAN'T cut that scene! And we need to have at least SOMETHING of the Marauders in the movies!

Me too. But WB doesn't want to change them either, so hopefully they'll continue. *begs*

Yes! Marauders forever!

If WB changes the actors they will have angry mobs of fangirls rioting on the streets and that is a force to be reckoned with.

Okay, now you have me thinking about death. I think a lot more people are going to die simply because the war is going to have to start eventually and the Death Eaters aren't exactly going to be merciful. And if Harry is the only one who has the power to defeat Voldemort and one of them has to die in that battle and cause Harry knows this then he is probably going to make the choice to go into that battle alone.

:( *gives Harry another hug*

And I am still waiting for Wormtail to die. Will be so pissed if he doesn't. I dunno if you seen this but it really surprised me when I got told. Think of the order of the Marauders on the map, Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, Prongs. James died first, then Sirius so theoretically Peter will go next.

Which means Remus survives. Alone.

Hmm I'd never thought of that about the order of the Marauders on the map... It is very interesting, though.

Yup, a lot of other people will die... probably one of the Weasleys will too (Percy???).

Wormtail HAS to die!!! After all the things he's done? He has to die, even if it's to save Harry's life, he has to die. And Moony BETTER stay alive! At least one of the Marauders has to stay around to take care of Harry!

Sirius didn't die, he just went back in the closet (didn't come up with it but still think it is funny as hell).

But it was so unfair that Sirius died, I mean, thrown in Azkaban at 21/22 for a crime he didn't commit, thought to be a mad mass murderer by those he loved for over a decade, escapes but is confined inside a house he hates, doesn't get to see the people he loves enough, doesn't get to help out with the Order enough and THEN HE DIES! That is not fair and therefore he cannot be dead.

One of the Weasleys will die just because the odds are against them. There's so many of them!

I have some interesting thoughts about the new Minister for Magic thing, and I think it will be Lucius Malfoy.

That would be terrible, yes, but I've seen sometheories about it on those essays where they talk a bit on each character's names. There's a pretty interesting coincidence going on with Fudge's name.;)

But Lucius is in Azkaban and he got labelled a Death Eater so unless he has a really good PR person I don't think he will be. Oh no, UMBRIDGE! She could be the new Minister which would be just as bad.

But I think Amelia Bones might be the new Minister unless it's someone we don't know yet. She is on the Wizard Council thingy and is head of Magical Law Enforcement. My vote's on her.

Whoa.

JKR does tend to use names with special meanings so maybe that isn't a coincedence. But Lucius is in Azkaban and while we know he's going to break out I still don't think he will become Minister. Unless of course Voldemort completely takes over the Ministry.

Damn these hidden meanings.

Yeah, it could happen.

But I do think Voldemort will take over the Ministry, then Hogwarts would have to stand together against a common enemy (and here I go thinking of epic battles lol...*sigh*).

I think JKR enjoys herself seeing fans making up bizarre stories and theories...

Yeah, I think Hogwarts is probably going to be the site of a major battle of something. Voldemort will have to attack it to take over the world and all. That would be cool to see though... Hogwarts in flames...

OMG the children's book cover! It's Dumbledore and Harry making a last stand in the burning ruins of Hogwarts!

And there goes another wild theory...
