Instead of listing the vids I made and which month I made them, I am instead going to post the snazzy gifs I made for my vid round-up on Tumblr instead. I think it makes my vids look way cooler!

My favourite video this year (of my own):
Homewrecker - Because I loved Erica a lot when she was on Teen Wolf and am totally pissed that they killed her when she left the show instead of writing her out a different way. She could have come back otherwise! Also, it's a vid that I can rewatch without finding a cringe-worthy editing moment.

My least favourite video this year:
Together like the Devil and Sin - Not because I don't like it but because I like it the least. It was just a short vidlet for a Big Bang and while it was fun, there wasn't much to it. The effects were cool to do though.

Most successful video:
Well based on AO3 comments, it's 21 Guns but that vid was made for tw_fallharvest and so it got a lot of exposure that way. But it was awesome seeing all those comments come in.

But in DW/LJ comments, Tumblr reblogs and AO3 kudos & hits, my Neckz 'n' Throats Photoshoot vid was a solid winner. Also, not too surprising considering it was a vid to a quite popular idea in the Teen Wolf fandom.

Video most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
Homewrecker - I don't know if it is. I was just sad it didn't get more comments because it was my favourite.

Most fun video:
The Good Book - But that's more to do with the hilarity of the show. It was fun to scrub through all the episodes and pick out the best moments though.

Video with single sexiest moment:
Have to say the Neckz 'n' Throats Photoshoot although that was intended to be sexy all the way through.

Honourable mention goes to Together like the Devil and Sin for Dean in 1940s getup because DAYUM!

Biggest vid fail:
21 Guns - Ugh ugh ugh. Although the fail here is mostly due to my laptop crapping on me. So technically, it's an unfinished vid because towards the end I was just chucking clips on the timeline to try and get it done before I lost it completely. But people seemed to like it so yay! Also, I had to then export it in 20 second chunks and then stitch them together. So ugh ugh ugh. It was really disappointing though because I had high hopes for that vid and it all went to hell.

Although I am still amused by the fact that it's the vid about Derek Hale that fucks up. He gets blamed for everything.

Hardest video to make:
21 Guns - For the aforementioned issues. And let's say Hell's Bells because I haven't mentioned it yet, as I had to created an AU narrative in a sort space of time.

Most unintentionally telling video:
Still don't really know how to answer this... I don't think my vids "tell" anything except that I like the source.

Did I succeed with any of my vidding plans fro last year's meme?
I totally forgot to even check on what vidding plans I made last year. But let's see, of the goals that I set last year:

• Find a method to encourage more vidding - Considering I made less vids... haha no.


• Make vids in a wider variety of fandoms - Hmm, check. Somewhat


• Make the epic vids I have planned - Haha no.


• Work more in After Effects - Haha no. Also, I can feel the knowledge of that program trickling away.


• Make a bunch of Teen Wolf vids - Check! I made three! Hopefully the new season inspires me to make the rest.


• Make a bunch of other vids - Not so much. The other vids I made were all for challenges/fests.

Vidding plans for 2013:
Okay, let's make some less vague and more feasible goals:

• Make a vid for Vividcon. (Maybe next year we can work up the courage to actually go!)


• Make a vid for Club Vivid. Or, possibly, finish the vid you started making for Club Vivid last year.


• Make one more vid than you made last year, so seven vids. 3/7 so far.


• Make one more Festivid than you made last year, so two vids. Boom! Made three!


• Rec more vids!

Fandom & Media Meme

Your main fandom of the year?
Probably Teen Wolf. Supernatural will always be a favourite but I am just not feeling the rush to make stuff or even watch the episodes as they come out. Although I watched a whole bunch of SPN fanvids recently and it made me so nostalgic. Show just isn't what it was. Teen Wolf is still bright and shiny ignoring Season Three.

Your favorite film you watched this year?
Oh god I don't even remember what films I watched. Um... Catching Fire, definitely. Also enjoyed Thor 2, Gravity & Pacific Rim.

Your favorite book read this year?
Oh god, is fanfic an answer? Couldn't even tell you my favourite fanfic either except I totally Cross my Soul by ecarian because I made a picspam of it on Tumblr. It's a Sterek Dark Materials!AU. Awesome read.

Need to start reading books again. Have so many unread on my shelves.

Your favorite tv show of the year?
Oh god, what TV shows did I watch? (WHAT DID I DO THIS YEAR!) New shows that I have watched and enjoyed were Orphan Black and Sleepy Hollow.

Your best new fandom discovery of the year?
I don't think I have a new fandom discovery this year. (Defining fandom discovery as a show or film that I want to immediately make things for.) Plenty of new awesome shows and stuff but nothing that has inspired me to make this now!

Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
Agents of SHIELD. It's slowly getting better but it was a very poor start for a show that by all appearances should be awesome.

Your biggest squee moment of the year?
Hmm, finding out Dan Harmon was coming back to Community. I don't care about him personally but the show was definitely less without him.

Your biggest fan anticipations for the coming year?
At the moment, it is Festivids. I get caught up making my assignment that I always forget that a vid just for me is being made as we speak. So it's a great surprise to receive it!
