Yep, that's the brilliant gem of wisdom my friend came up with today. I accidently stepped on her heel and she retorted with...
"Look where you're watching!
Needless to say we both cracked up laughing and didn't stop for five minutes.
Anyway, today I made up for my previous lack of movie watching with going to see three in one day. Yep, movies in bulk, brilliant concept.
Lemony Snicket was enjoyable. Mind you, I haven't the books and probably won't so I can't say which was better. But overall I thought the movie was pretty good. Jim Carrey is hilarious in whatever he does and I liked all the costumes. However there was a brief moment of panic at the beginning where my friend and I wondered whether we were in the right movie or not when that bloody elf came on. I now want to murder that elf. Literally.
Finding Neverland was great as well. Of course I am biased towards the Depp but come one, that's understandable and besides Depp did a really good job in this. The movie also made me cry, numerous times so in my opinion it was a good story. I liked the imagination sequences/flashes thingies when Barrie is getting ideas for his play. Those were a nice touch. And Johnny got to play a pirate again and he sounded just like Sparrow. Imagine that. But yeah, I really liked Finding Neverland and I'm not usually the type to go for those types of movies.
As for The Phantom of the Opera, well, for starters I don't like opera (no offense!) so some parts of the movie I was a little bit iffy over but I liked most of it. My favourite part was when the Phantom took Christine to his lair for the first time because I really liked the music in that bit. Minnie Driver was brilliant only because I didn't realise it was her until the end and then I was like Oh My Gawd! And I didn't know it was Miranda Richardson either even though She was really familiar to the point it bugged me so much because I couldn't place her name. And the blond chick who played her daughter is also familiar though I am yet to find out why.
So it was a very productive day. I also bought ROTK:EE but I already saw it at a friends house, however I had to complete the collection. And I bought this beautiful black dress for only thirty bucks which I have no place to wear to but it was pretty and only thirty bucks so not a word.
Not one word.
Oh and I bought some jewellery as well :)
