Why yes, I have been watching a lot of TV lately...
And I actually have things to say about it for once!

Supernatural 8x01

While I still love the show and Sam and Dean, I have to admit it doesn't really excite me anymore. I will still be watching the show and vidding and reading fic and reblogging too many pictures on Tumblr but it's lost a little bit of spark. Probably because the show isn't matching up to the show in my head *sadface*

I really hope that there is more to Sam's story than just he was tired so I just stopped and that it actually gets explored. I mean, in theory I can agree with that and think it would be an interesting angle because they have been through so much shit but I just don't have faith that it will get explored to the extent I want. But I did read that the brothers time apart will get explained in flashbacks so hopefully we will see more.

I think everyone agrees that Dean looked mighty fine in Purgatory all dirtied and bloodied although I seriously doubt that his jacket would have survived a year roughly intact.

I don't particularly like Benny. Seriously, the show doesn't need yet another recurring white male character. Also, I am kinda annoyed at how chummy Dean seemed with him considering all the crap he's given Sam over his association with those of the not human persuasion. And he called Dean 'brother' and Dean smiled! That is not on! Dean only has one brother (well, two but clearly everyone else has forgotten about Adam).

I do like Sam's hair though. I always seem to like Sam's hair.

But other than that, nothing really stood out from the premiere to me as being exciting :( But I still want to make that SPN vid I have planned so yay for that!

QI

Okay, if you are not all ready watching QI you should be because it is hilarious and informative and Stephen Fry is delightful. But the start of Season 10 has been absolutely hilarious, even more so that normal. I have all ready watched the first episode twice because I found it that funny.

Merlin

I really enjoyed the Merlin premiere. More than Supernatural at least, although it may be because I am not as invested so I have lower standards as to what I wanted out of it.

But I loved the little moments between Arthur and Merlin (even if I do only ship them together in fic). The juggling and the rabbits and the snuggling and the bickering! Aww!

And I thought Gwen made a great Queen! Hopefully she gets a cool story this season. And I hope the same for Morgana as well, at least something more involved then just kill Arthur and take over Camelot.

However, WTF at the glowy alien thing at the end. That thing was ridiculous and did not belong at all. Although, I was helpfully distracted by all the sweaty, half-naked knights. That was very much appreciated :D

Once upon a time

I have nothing much to say as it was clearly a setup episode but I did enjoy it. I like that Emma didn't immediately seem overjoyed to know that Snow and Charming were her parents cause that's one weird situation to be in. Okay, and I laughed when Charming dove and crushed the hat. That was pretty funny.

And also, apologies to anyone who may have been spammed by reblogs on my Tumblr. I had a lot of catching up...

I agree with Supernatural, though I like Benny I am unsure if I will like where his character is going. Hate the fact that Sam is so ready to jump off the train and leave Dean all alone. I fear if this story line is getting us ready for the end of Supernatural or if we have to suffer through the entire season with Sam wanting out to only get back in if they kill off his new love interest. I so miss how close they were. I mean Dean was ready to jump back in when he saw Sam was alive and I am so not cool with how Sam just gave up on Dean that whole year.

On Merlin, yes they could have taken the blue creature in a whole new design and still kept the blue glowing thing. I was thinking Coneheads the whole time. I am very excited about the new season of Merlin and in the net scene where Merlin says "Where the other rabbit go?" was too hilarious. Also leave it to Merlin to fall asleep first and unable to get them out of the trap.

Gave up on Once upon a time after the four episode. Might give it a second chance someday. I am not a big fan of flashbacks being a huge part of a series, same reason why I think Supernatural is lacking a bit this season.
