Firstly, a preemptive thank you for making a vid for me! I am so damn excited about this exchange so no matter what fandom you pick I will probably be overjoyed to receive a vid.
However, a bit of an apology as I'm not sure how useful my prompts will be considering I was so excited about the concept of![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
festivids that when it came to supplying actual useful prompts for the fandoms I chose I kinda had a mind blank. (Especially for any music suggestions.) So it's a good thing that you are not actually required to follow any of my suggestions, but if you want some ideas then hopefully my rambling below will help you out.
1) The Craft
Like I said in my prompt, I like witches. So something either focused on Sarah or all of the group and the magic they wrought would be cool. I like when things are focused on the other-worldly so if the vid had a really "magical" atmosphere, that would be awesome.
2) Dr Horrible
Oh, Dr Horrible. I loved this for the utter crackalicious story. And Neil Patrick Harris. And Captain Tight Pants (or Nathan Fillion if you prefer) and while I hadn't heard of Felicia Day before, seeing her then brought me to finding out about The Guild. So I guess an ensemble vid is what I would like to see, something to showcase the crackiness of this show. And I like Dr Horrible's goggles!
3) El Mariachi Trilogy [Movie] - ((El Mariachi - 1993, Desperado - 1995 & Once upon a time in Mexico - 2003))
I always loved the guns in instrument cases. And I loved Agent Sands blind shooting. And Carolina's throwing knives. So I guess what I am saying is I liked the weapons in these movies. I liked the story and characters as well but the guns were pretty cool.
4) Event Horizon
There are only two movies that still creep me out: The Gremlins & Event Horizon. Granted I don't watch a lot of scary movies but I have seen enough and its these two that continue to freak me out. The Gremlins because I watched it as a kid and Event Horizon... well, I'm not sure why this movie out of so many creeps me out but it does. I watch it every time it comes on TV and I still get freaked out. So I really creepy vid would be awesome. I may not be able to sleep afterwards but I will love it.
5) The Frighteners
So I think this is the only prompt that I supplied a music choice as well. And I know, obvious song is obvious but like I said, this was the first time I had heard the song. But feel free to disregard.
I can't remember what else I said during sign up for this prompt but I just generally like this movie, so I will probably like anything you do.
6) From dusk till dawn
Confession. I haven't watched this movies for a long time but my impression of the story still remains: blah blah blah plot plot plot BAM! VAMPIRES! Which as a narrative, is something I absolutely loved and thought it was awesome. So I don't know if it helps you but if the vid can incorporate that BAM! VAMPIRES! that would be just lovely. And huh, I just checked IMDB and apparently there are two sequels... which I haven't seen... and don't really want to... so maybe don't include them.
7) The Guild
I like the characters of The Guild for their utter dysfunction. And their geeky-ness. And how different they all are. They are not your typical stereotypes of online gamers. So something about that would be cool.
And like I said in my prompt, it would be cool if you could incorporate clips form the music video they made "Do you want to date my Avatar?". Ooh, maybe you could do something about showing the characters in real life but they really want to be their characters in the game and then intersperse their character clips from the music video as their daydreams... or something... or other...
8) The Watch Series [Movie, DVD] - ((Night Watch - 2004) & (Day Watch - 2006))
I like the interesting imagery in these movies and the awesome way they did their subtitles. So vid about the strange world of the Watch would be cool. Maybe contrasting the way the different watches works. The 'Light' works in the night and the 'Dark' works in the day. That would be cool.
So those are all my prompts and rambling. Hopefully they are of some help if you need some ideas. Sorry I don't have any music suggestions. I have a hard enough time picking music for my own vids. And music generally helps decide the direction a vid will take and that is more up to you.
