My heels are cracked and working a full day on my feet didn't help.
Today was eventual. There was apparently a false alarm at work today and the whole shopping centre had to be evacuated because no one had a clue what was going on. It was slightly disconcerting because you don't expect stuff like this and what with the terrorism issues lately you tend to expect the worst. The carpark practically became half empty within five minutes and a crowd of a couple of hundred dwindled down to about 50. But everything was fine and as far as we know it was only a false fire alarm. But still...
Experienced a total evacuation. Check.
In other news there's not much so I don't know why I even said that. Oh, my final exams for my tertiary institution of choice start Tuesday and it's not so much the fact that I'm worried about them but merely dreading the horrendous waste of time they are going to be because what I want to do after I finished school doesn't directly incorporate the results I will gain from them. A fact I only found out a couple of months ago when it was too late to back out of them so while I could slack off now, screw the exams (not literally) and it wouldn't really matter, that would still, of course, be stupid because something unforeseeable could happen and I would end up needing the exam scores and, of course, for my resume a nice school report is always nice so I should really be studying BUT I CAN'T BE BOTHERED...
EXAMS ARE THE BANE OF EXISTANCE AND SHOULD BE THROWN INTO THE FIERY PITS OF HELL! For eternity.
But of course, next year I think they ('they' meaning the bloody educational system) are scrapping the tertiary entrance exams and bringing in this new fangled level system in which you can never tell where you're at and the only thing you can find out is that you are progressing at a level that is satisfactory to your own abilities which is great and makes you feel better but alas, tells you nothing.
Dammit, that always happens. The new stuff always gets brought in the year after you've left. Like primary school, the year after I left what do they do? Bring in a brand new shiny playground after cutting down the old one so we had nothing for two or so years. And yes I know that's petty but I was making a point!
And I need to go shopping since I have been saving up all my money for after the exams and I have a feeling I shall be inclined to involve myself in a much needed shopping spree. And my birthday is coming up so I shall be demanding lots of books, CDs and DVDs and if my arrogant demands are met with nothing but scorn I shall go out and buy stuff meself.
